Thank you so much for being part of Jar of Words in 2025. Although I ran a few public events, I wasn’t very active on the website this year. Most of my time was spent editing my debut novel, and while I haven’t secured a publishing deal yet, I’m feeling hopeful about getting it fully edited and ready for self-publishing. Watch this space!
Public-facing engagement in 2025:
Jar of Words started an important conversation about the reduction of Farsi books in public libraries (for books sake). As a result of our engagement with Manchester library, we got involved in selection of 20 titles from the suggested list of online books. You can read about the outcome of the debate here.
In collaboration with Coffee and Books, we also hosted an author event to get to know the work of writers in Greater Manchester who write in Persian.
I had the pleasure of performing one of my monologues, The Rules of Invisibility, in collaboration with Sheba Art.
Downhill Blues was another one of my monologues that was performed at: Word of Warning: Social Experiment', Contact Theatre.
از همراهی شما با سبوی سخن در سال ۲۰۲۵ صمیمانه سپاسگزارم. اگرچه در این سال چند رویداد عمومی برگزار شد، فعالیت من در وبسایت محدود بود. بخش عمدهای از زمانم صرف ویرایش نخستین رمانم شد و با وجود آنکه تاکنون موفق به عقد قرارداد نشر نشدهام، امیدوارم پس از تکمیل مراحل ویرایش، آن را برای انتشار مستقل آماده کنم. منتظر خبرهای بعدی باشید
فعالیتها و تعاملات عمومی در سال ۲۰۲۵
سبوی سخن گفتوگویی مهمی دربارهی کاهش کتابهای فارسی کتابخانههای عمومی را آغاز کرد. در نتیجه این تعامل با کتابخانه منچستر، در فرایند انتخاب ۲۰ عنوان از فهرست پیشنهادی کتابهای آنلاین مشارکت داشتیم. گزارش نتایج این گفتوگو در اینجا قابل مطالعه است
همچنین با همکاری پرسه و قهوه به شرط کتاب، رویدادی برای معرفی آثار نویسندگان منچستر که به زبان فارسی مینویسند، برگزار شد
با همکاری گروه هنرشیبا، یکی از مونولوگهایم با عنوان قوانین نامرئی بودن اجرا شد
مونولوگ دیگر من با عنوان 'سراشیبی اندوه' در تاتر کانتکت نیز به اجرا درآمد
